Podge Lunch 2013

How do you follow the Peacemeal themed podge created by Interbrand where we had brekkie in NYC, lunch in London and dinner in HK? Everyone said it was the best ever podge lunch and it was number 18 in the sequence that has taken us from Quaglino’s in 1994 to the IOD in 2013.

So this year the mantle fell to Holmes & Marchant and their sister agency Lloyd Northover. It helped that John Lloyd and Jim Northover had been attending the lunches for 15 years or more. They called in help from Interactive agency Ignition to create the website and September 20th was our chosen day for the 2013 podge lunch.

The theme created by H&M CD Jeremy Shaw involved hammer & sickles and many uses of the word Comrade sprinkled around the designs. Some brilliant sponsors helped us bring the theme to life on the day and the guest list saw 77 new faces brought into the podge fold out of the 250 places available. The newcomers fitted in perfectly and the problem now is how to choose who makes the cut for our 20th anniversary in 2014.

Photographs of the 2013 lunch are available to view on flickr here.

Many thanks to everyone who helped us put on the 19th annual podge lunch.
