Podge 2010
The theme for 2010 was Designed by Committee. Chairman of said committee was Tom Foulkes of Buro Happold (previously at Land Securities) who volunteered his complete design roster to join forces and create various items for the annual podge lunch at The Arts Club in Dover Street. His agency roster included The Next Big Thing, Design House, Small Back Room, Un.titled, DS.emotion and Tsuko. And if that wasn't enough to form a pretty formidable committee he appointed digital agency Naked Penguin boy to do the website which brought everything to life.
Tom put his hand up to volunteer for the task at the 2009 lunch when he was at Land Securities and after briefing all the agencies on the 2010 podge project he promptly packed his leotard and thong into his suitcase and made the move over to Buro Happold. It was the first time a client had volunteered to handle the branding of a podge lunch and a great experience for everyone involved. 170 guests attended the lunch at The Arts club and we were all blissfully unaware it would be the last one at the venue.
